Kanzashi

This is an author's project by two Japanese designers who combine craftsmanship, artistic vision, and a passion for storytelling to create exclusive jewelry and accessories. The brand is rooted in the idea of celebrating feminine individuality and elegance through rare, collectible pieces. Each item is designed and handcrafted to embody uniqueness and bold sophistication — destined to be worn by women who live unapologetically and express themselves freely.

In a market overflowing with repetition, it’s difficult to find something that truly feels yours. Most accessories are either mass-market copies or follow tired trends that fade by next season. Stylish, self-made women are looking for something else — something made with soul, made to last, made to tell a story.

Kanzashi

We crafted a brand identity and website design that fuses contemporary minimalism with Japanese cultural depth. At the heart of the visual system is a unique logomark: a fusion of a kanzashi (a traditional Japanese hair ornament) and a stylized Japanese dragon, formed through the elegant union of two mirrored letter S’s. This symbol becomes the soul of the brand — at once powerful and refined, mystical and modern. The aesthetic direction is built around contrasts — soft and strong, sculptural and fluid. The color palette combines rich maroon and pale blush with grounding greys and blacks, evoking the luxury of lacquerware, silk, and aged

The result is a visual identity that feels like a modern artifact — rooted in Japanese symbolism, yet designed for a global audience of style-conscious women. The logo became instantly recognizable, its delicate balance of tradition and minimalism resonating with the brand's premium clientele. The packaging, with its matte textures and precise typography, turned unboxing into a ceremonial act. This brand doesn’t follow trends — it sets its own mythology.
